ABOUT US
Bazabaza Corporation is a 501© charitable organization headquartered in Tennessee (USA) with branches in Canada, Togo and Benin (West Africa). Bazabaza means the practice of love of God among human.
Started on 12 April 2012, the corporation is managed by a group of young Africans, residing in the USA, and are concerned by the state of education in Africa and want to bring supports to the youth. Our continent’s education system has suffered from qualified teacher shortages, too much cut of education budget, lower educational quality in rural areas, and high repetition of classes and dropout rates. Sometimes the parents have to gather money to pay the teacher so he/she can show up and teach. Also the student that had their diplomas couldn’t find a job in the market: the employment rate also is ranking so high.
It deeply hurt us as Africans in USA to see that the next generation is not getting an adequate education. The future of our continent is fading away, because education is the key to a successful country. The current phase of the initiative is focused in the country of Togo in West Africa. Baza Education is geared towards good academic performance combined with personal development to produce a well-rounded individual with the necessary qualifications and skills. Our hope is that with an adequate education, Baza children can later provide for themselves, break generations of poverty, and contribute to the development of their communities. That is why we follow each child throughout the programs and beyond. Please check out our well organized and rigorous structure is compressed in this organizational chart.

SHORT TERM VISION
The main goal for implementing the after school tutoring programs and the supplementary instructions is to alleviate student’s multi retention in the same class, loss of interest for going to school especially with the girls and students coming from poor family. For, in Togo’s education system, student can be retained in the same class at least for two (2) years. Therefore many children are left behind in the academic process. The education system is set up in way that student has to perform well in all subjects in order to pass an exam.
Togo’s education system is no longer able to meet the expectations of the majority of the students and the teachers at any level. Many students are retained in the same class for more than 3 to 5 years. It causes some student to drop out of school.
This situation affects obviously the parents who are wasting resources same as the government.
LONG TERM VISION
Currently Baza Education is helping 9132 students and orphans; the long term goal is to help billions of people across the African continent, United States and the world.
Education transforms lives and breaks the cycle of poverty that so many children are caught in. An educated child will make sure his own children receive quality education.
Our long term vision is to build a community that thrives through its members helping each other and returning to support and empower the new generations.
We shall strive to build a stronger interaction with faith leaders, doctors and health educators, lifestyle specialists and community leaders, parents and elders, artists and other community organizations in order to instill not only a quality education, but also an education for life. This effort will help create a more honest generation and also alleviate corruption, bad governance and other shortcomings in our society.
